The National Christian Youth Convention (NCYC) 2009 has definitely come and gone. NCYC is a biennial event that is organised by different states. It is a time for the Christian Youth of Australia, and some International visitors to spend a week in community.

Fiona Dixon-Thompson, a Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) aid-worker has today been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia, for her contribution to international relief and development. Fiona, who was featured in the 2007 documentary Seven Days in Zambia, has co-ordinated the United Church of Zambia Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project in Mwandi, Zambia, since 2005.
