UCA Preamble — Colloquium, 19 June 2010

On 19 June 2010, the Covenanting Commission, the Social Justice Board and the Commission for Education for Discipleship & Leadership will host a colloquium to address the new preamble to the Constitution of the Uniting Church in Australia, and the proposed changes to sections 49 and 49A of the Constitution.

The colloquium will be a moderated event, providing the opportunity both for papers to be presented, and for questions to be asked. All members of the Uniting Church are welcome, and are invited to attend.

Wild WA Weather

The Fire and Emergency Services Authority of WA (FESA) is urging people to take action and stay safe as more storms are expected across the southern part of WA today. Many people across the Perth metropolitan area were affected yesterday as severe storm conditions swept through in the late afternoon and evening.

As Christians pray for those affected, John Pugh and the team of Uniting Church Insurance Services (UCIS) have been busy offering support for schools, caring agencies, congregations and individual affected in the main by water damage, broken windows as a result of hail, and building damage.
