UnitingWomen 2014 -mark the dates

UnitingWomen 2014 is a conference for women who share a faith in Jesus Christ.The vision is a Christ-centred gathering, where women of all walks of life can meet in friendship. It is a place for learning, worship, sharing wisdom. It is a place to reflect on God’s word and a place to stand up for justice, a place for seeking the deeper story.

Keynoting the conference is Rev Nadia Bolz-Weber, founder of the House of All Sinners and Saints in Denver, Colorado. Her writing are found in Christian Century, The Lutheran Magazine, and Patheos. Her latest book Pastrix, the Crank, Beautiful Faith of sinner and Saint (http://www.pastrix.com) was published in September 2013.

Garden blooms for Balcatta residents


With bright smiles and shared friendship, residents, families, staff and guests celebrated the opening of a new sensory garden at Juniper St Andrew’s in Balcatta today.

Juniper chief executive, Vaughan Harding, said the Serenity Garden was an inviting, fresh space that is bringing enjoyment and benefits to many people at the much loved care facility which provides specialised dementia care for 30 of its 75 residents. Continue reading

Congratulations to TLC’s graduating class


Trinity Learning Centre’s (TLC) class of 2013 are celebrating as a number of students graduated from their studies recently. TLC, run by UnitingCare West and supported by a range of groups including Uniting Church in the City, Trinity Perth, and Como-Manning Uniting Church, is a school for young mums who are committed to completing their high school studies.
