The Synod of WA operates as the legal and administrative body of the Church. The name ‘synod’ can be used to refer to the geographical area, the administrative tasks and responsibilities of the body which oversees that area, or the name given to the annual meeting at which representatives of congregations, agencies and committees of the Church come together to make decisions.
The Uniting Church Western Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we live and work. The Uniting Church Centre sits on the lands of the Wadjuk Nyungar people and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the Nyungar people as the sovereign First Peoples of this place.
