Uniting Church in the City, Wesley Perth will be open to the public as part of this year’s Perth Heritage Weekend.
Wesley Church was opened in 1870 and is now celebrating 151 years of musical performances in Perth. It is one of the few remaining 19th century colonial buildings in the city. Schedule your visit so you can not only view the building but enjoy one of the wonderful performances scheduled over the weekend.

Have you ever been intrigued by the pipe organ? This is your opportunity to come along and have a try. If you play the piano, bring along your favourite piece of music. If you’ve never played an instrument, then don’t be intimidated – come along and have a try in a warm and friendly environment with Wesley’s Director of Music and organist Angela Currie. Suitable for ages 5+.

Grab a coffee and listen to the pipe organ – the ‘King of Instruments’ – in all its glory performed by Wesley’s Director of Music and Organist Angela Currie.
Saturday 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Wesley Music Scholars with Angela Currie (piano) showcasing some of Perth’s top young performers. Bring along your lunch to enjoy in the historic surrounds of Wesley Church.
Saturday 3pm – 4pm
The Orenda Ensemble: Michael Howell (flute), Alix Hamilton (viola), Adam Pinto (piano). Sharing a passion of exploring and creating exquisite moments of musical joy and connection. Recital of chamber music for all.

The 2020 Celebration deferred because of COVID 19 last year will be held on Sunday 30 May 2021 in Wesley Uniting Church, Perth.
A Special Morning Service at 10.00 a.m. will feature a greeting from UCA Assembly President Deidre Palmer and our Moderator Susy Thomas as guest preacher
A Celebration Service will follow at 2.30 p.m. with the President as our Guest Preacher. Afternoon Tea will be served in the church after the service.
Both services will include special music from Wesley Choir and Scholars.
This will be a celebration of the U.C.I.C. and the whole Uniting Church family and all are invited. One hundred and fifty years since Wesley Church was opened,
and 190 years since the first Methodist congregation was established in WA. Come and join with us!
