As church councils and elders our responsibilities are:

 spiritual oversight and pastoral care
 building up the congregation in faith and love, sustaining its members in hope, and leading them into a fuller participation in Christ’s mission in the
world.

The course helps each group of leaders think through core elements of oversight in the congregation, for instance having language to talk about spirituality,
addressing difficult topics, being missional, and governance issues.

A minimum of three from any church council taking part aids the conversation and learning.

The course ideally runs on a Friday evening and all day Saturday. This can be shaped differently depending on circumstances.

Dates:   Friday 29 April 6.00pm -9.00pm AND  Saturday 30 April 9.00am – 4.00pm

Cost:   $50 per congregation for course costs plus hospitality costs.
