Notice from General Secretary, Rev Andrew Syme:
Light Transitional Restrictions in Perth and Peel cease
Thank you for working together and your contribution to the success of the Light Transitional Restrictions in Perth and Peel regions which ends tonight at 12.01am, Monday 12 July.
As advised by Premier Mark McGowan, all remaining capacity and gathering limits will be removed tonight as Western Australia transitions to Phase 5 of the COVID-19 roadmap.
All Uniting Church WA places of worship will enjoy:
- removal of the two square metre rule.
- removal of COVID-19 capacity limits.
However, the following remains in place to continue keeping our community safe:
- contact register is mandatory. The free SafeWA App is highly recommended. Please provide paper registration of names and phone numbers for those without smartphones.
- maintain good hygiene standards and COVID-safe principles.
Due to the weather forecast tomorrow, Monday 12 July, the Uniting Church Centre (UCC) will be closed. If you have meetings scheduled tomorrow to attend the UCC, please meet via Zoom or postpone. You will be advised by the Committee Organiser.
Uniting Church WA staff will work from home. Contact may be made directly with a staff member, or please phone (08) 9260 9800 from 9.00am to 5.00pm and your call will be answered. The relevant staff member (Synod or Presbytery) will be in touch with you. Many of our staff work part-time and they will respond as soon as possible.
The Uniting Church Centre (UCC) will re-open at 9am on Tuesday, 13 July.
We continue to pray that we will continue to work together to be God’s people in this time and place.
Grace and peace.
