We will have intergenerational time together and some focused activities for primary aged children attending with family. \n\n\n\nKeynote Speakers\n\n\n\nMichael Frost\n\n\n\nMike Frost is an internationally recognised Australian missiologist and one of the leading voices in the missional church movement. His books are required reading in colleges and seminaries around the world and he is much sought after as an international conference speaker.He is the author or editor of nineteen theological books\, his most recent being (2024 Christian Shortlist Book of the Year) Mission is the Shape of Water (2023). Mike’s presentations at Summer Spirit 2025 will draw upon his work in this book.Mike is also well known for his protests against Australia’s treatment of refugees\, some of which have resulted in his arrest by the NSW police\, as well as his advocacy for racial reconciliation\, foreign aid\, and gender equality. \n\n\n\nAlexandra Sangster\n\n\n\nAlex Sangster is a writer\, actor\, mother\, and minister with the St Kilda Southport Uniting Church. She has spent the last twenty years working with families in crisis\, older folk\, youth\, refugees\, and those experiencing homelessness. She is active in several spheres within the church and beyond including on justice and environmental issues.Alex is currently working with people experiencing mental health and housing vulnerabilities. She is an actor and facilitator with Melbourne Playback and is known for her creative worship in church circles. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday 27 March\, starting at 2.00pm\, All Saints Floreat Uniting Church\, 50 Berkeley Crescent\, Floreat\, is hosting Frontier Services to talk about their volunteer service Outback Links. \n\n\n\nFor decades\, Outback Links has been connecting volunteers with people in remote Australia doing it tough. They provide practical support when it’s needed most. This could include anything from care taking to property maintenance\, gardening to painting or perhaps general farm support is what’s needed most. There is an opportunity for everyone to make a meaningful difference. \n\n\n\nOutback Links volunteers bring hope by showing up and showing they care. They are there to lend a helping hand to relieve some pressure and get those tasks done.We will hear about Outback Links from Montarna Cohen\, Senior Outback Links National Coordinator for Frontier Services\, and Rev Ric Payne\, Bush Chaplain for the Mid West. \n\n\n\nYou are encouraged to come along if you can make it and learn more about this volunteer service. Perhaps you might like to help out during a future trip around our beautiful country\, or perhaps you have friends who could help?  \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to come along.
