Joan Wright Howie\, Uniting Church minister\, spiritual director\, supervisor\, and PhD candidate. Joan’s research explores what spiritually informed care looks like in practice\, and throughout this residency she brings these insights into conversation with the real experiences of church communities. \n\n\n\nBeing the Uniting Church: Exploring Spirituality and Religion\n\n\n\nThursday 7 May at Baylife Uniting Church\, Busselton \n\n\n\nCost $15 – In person \n\n\n\nAs church congregations become smaller\, an increasing number of people identify as spiritual but not religious. Joan has a private practice and has trained both supervisors and spiritual directors for many years. She lives with her husband\, David\, in Melbourne and has three independent children. Joan loves swimming in the ocean\, gardening and going for long walks with friends.Joan is a Uniting Church minister living in Melbourne.

SUMMARY:Trek for Timor 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Uniting Church WA’s International Partnerships & Development Commission (IPDC) invite you to join them for Trek 4 Timor 2026 on Saturday 16 May starting at 1.00pm! \n\n\n\nTake a walk around the river to raise money for Lafaek Diak’s mobile health clinic in Timor Leste. Operating out of the back of a 4WD\, the clinic works its way around the remote villages of East Timor delivering medical aid and services\, health promotion education and care\, immunisations and clinics. \n\n\n\nStarting and ending at Saint Stephen’s Uniting Church in Applecross\, there will be two walk options for people to choose – 3.4km and 6.8km – finishing the day with afternoon refreshments at the church! \n\n\n\nYou can register to walk and fundraise or simply support this great cause with a donation.
