SUMMARY:Celebration Service - 195th Anniversary of Methodist Church in Perth
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 1 June the church will celebrate the 195th anniversary of the first Methodist service in Perth which took place under a jarrah tree in what is now the Hay Street pedestrian mall in the city. The service took place on 6 June 1830\, conducted by Joseph Hardey. \n\n\n\nTo celebrate this milestone there will be a Celebration Service on 1 June at 3.00pm\, with the Uniting Church WA community all welcome to attend. We will be joined by Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Charissa Suli who will also preach at the service. A celebratory reception will follow.   \n\n\n\nAll are welcome!

SUMMARY:Celebration of 40th Anniversary of Multicultural Church Declaration
DESCRIPTION:The Presbytery’s Intercultural Network is organising a local celebration for the 40 Anniversary of the Assembly’s 1985 statement\, ‘The Uniting Church is a Multicultural Church’. It will be held on Saturday 7 June (the Saturday before Pentecost Sunday) from 6.00pm at Kardinya Uniting Church. \n\n\n\nThe celebration will consist of a program that will include music and dance from various cultures. It will end with a great time of food and fellowship. You will be able to sample foods from diverse CALD communities. DESCRIPTION:Our Big Garage Sale is being held on Saturday 21st June! \nFrom 8.00am\, come along and grab a bargain in clothing\, bric-a-brac\, books\, dvds and art. We also have a crafts and bake sale and an impressive array of plants by Mr Retired. Proceeds from the garage sale go to our emergency food relief program\, which provides food to those in need in our local area. You can also bring non-perishable items to donate to the food program. \nIn conjunction with the Garage Sale\, we will also be hosting ‘The Great Outback BBQ’ raising funds for Frontier Services\, providing support for Aussie farmers doing it tough.
