DESCRIPTION:The 49th Annual Meeting of the Synod of Western Australia will take place over the weekend of Saturday 13 September to Sunday 14 September 2025.   \n\n\n\nAt the Annual Synod meeting members of the Uniting Church in WA\, as well as representatives from our schools and agencies\, will come together to discuss issues of importance in the life of the church and the wider community. \n\n\n\nThe Moderator’s theme for this Triennium is Being with Jesus in Ministry. \n\n\n\nDate – Saturday 13 September 2025\, 8.00am to 8.00pm & Sunday 14 September 2025\, 8.00am to 4.00pm. \n\n\n\nLocation – Wesley College\, Coode St &\, Angelo St\, South Perth. \n\n\n\nPlease note there will be no Friday evening opening worship service this year.   \n\n\n\nFor further details about the Annual Synod go to the Synod Meetings and Minutes page.

SUMMARY:Towards Enduring Sustainability - Coral's Last Stand Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to attend a screening of the documentary Coral’s Last Stand – the fight to save Scott reef\, on Sunday 21 September 2025 at 12.00pm. The screening will be at Uniting Church in the City’s Tranby Hall\, Level 1\, 97 William St\, Perth\, beginning at 12.00pm with light refreshments. The film screening will commence at 12.30pm. \n\n\n\nRegistrations are requested for catering purposes – https://events.humanitix.com/corals-last-stand-film-screening-uniting-church-in-the-city  \n\n\n\nThis is a UCIC Social.Justice.Church event co-hosted by Australian Religious Response to Climate Change WA (ARRCC WA) and the Uniting Church WA Social Justice Commission. \n\n\n\nScott Reef is a remote coral atoll to the far north of Western Australia. It is home to an incredible diversity of marine life.
