Research Support and Development Unit, Fiona Stanley Hospital Eligibility
Current WA Health staff, volunteers and external individuals are eligible to be considered for these positions.
The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) provides ethical advice to hospitals and researchers about proposed research projects. The role involves critically reviewing research proposals and assessing their integrity, justice, beneficence and respect, in accordance with the National Health & Medical Research Council’s National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. Members of the SMHS HREC are provided ongoing training to support their understanding of ethical issues in medical research.
