On Saturday 31 August 2019, our church was transformed into an Arabian marketplace as we hosted the Interserve “Arabian Nights” dinner. What a night! The church was packed, as those attending feasted on beautiful Middle Eastern food and sweets, listened to Arabian music, caught up with old friends and made new ones. Over the course of the evening we learned much about this special region and it’s peoples.
Interserve is a Christian agency which serves the peoples of Asia and the Arab World, both in their home countries and those living in Australia. We were fortunate to hear from one Interserve worker who has spent time in the Arab world, and also from our own Perry and Judy who are about to head off to spend 2 years serving in Central Asia. It truly was a wonderful night, and our thanks go to everyone who helped the evening run so smoothly.
