Easter is a very special time for us, as we reflect on Jesus’ life, death and resurrection to new life and on what this means for us here today.
In the weeks leading up to Easter, our services focus on our relationship with God, both as individuals and as a community.
We would be delighted to have you join us at any of these worship times:
Ash Wednesday: Wednesday 6 March – 7 pm to 7.30 pm
A lovely and very moving service to begin our Easter journey. During the service, those who wish to do so will be marked with ashes as a symbol of repentance and the journey from death to resurrection.
Each Sunday leading up to Easter – 9.30 am to 10.30 am
Sunday worship services, followed by coffee, tea and time to chat. This period is called Lent, and is a time of preparation and deep thinking as we move towards Easter and begin to consider again what that means for us.
Palm Sunday: A very special service – Sunday 14 April – 9.30 am to 10.30 am
Palm Sunday is the Sunday immediately before Easter, and this year we are having a very special service indeed. Join our Sunday School children as they lead us through the events from Palm Sunday to Easter Day using songs, stories and drama to bring the Easter story to life. Definitely not to be missed.
Holy Week: Monday 15 April to Thursday 18 April – 6.30 pm to 7 pm
Each evening of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Holy Week we will have a half-hour quiet time of reflection, with music and some thoughts to ponder as we prepare for Easter. Feel free to join us for any or all of these evenings.
Good Friday: 19 April – 9.30 am to 10.30 am
Good Friday worship service, reflecting on the events around the death of Jesus on the cross and what that means to us.
Easter Sunday 21 April – 9.30 am – 10.30 am
Easter Sunday celebration service, as we rejoice at the promise of new life!
