Our Congregational Community Services (CCS) helps to support, resource and encourage community service activities within Uniting Church congregations in Western Australia.
We are available to help in whatever way we can to ensure each activity is successful, achieves its goals, reflects Uniting Church values and effectively serves the local community.
On behalf of the Presbytery of WA, the Congregational Community Services Commission (CCCS) has oversight of all congregational community service activities so they reflect the values and ethos of the Uniting Church and provide appropriate governance, accountability and excellence in service delivery to meet local communities’ needs.
The CCCS has three key roles to assist all congregation-based community service and outreach activities:
There are plenty of ways we can help.
There is a diverse range of activities run by Uniting Church congregations around Western Australia ranging from financial counselling to child care; from emergency relief to social, community and family care, and many more.
A congregational “Community Service Activity” (CSA) is one established by the decision of a Congregation or Church Council to provide a welfare or supportive service to members of the community which remains under the authority of that Congregation or Church Council” –
Regulation 3.1.1 – 3.1.2 UCA.
The CCCS is represented by the Community Services Consultant, who can contacted for advice and assistance:
