We offer a range of short courses and longer study options for:
These educational offerings are provided by the Commission for Education for Discipleship and Leadership (CEDAL). The overall aim of CEDAL is “to build an informed and integrated learning community directed to the mission of God”.
CEDAL is responsible for providing education to members to enable them to grow in faith, discipleship and leadership; oversight of theological education for the specified ministries of the Uniting Church (Lay Preacher, Pastor, Deacon and Minister of the Word) according to guidelines set by the Assembly.
If you want to undertake more formal studies in theology, you can study through the Perth Theological Hall (PTH). This is the Theological College established by the Synod and approved by the Assembly for providing training for ordained ministries.
PTH works collaboratively with Uniting Church theological colleges in other Synods to provide appropriate contextual theological education for candidates as well as for lay leaders seeking to undertake university-level studies.
10742NAT Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology
We are pleased to offer the 10742NAT Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology, a nationally recognised training. This course is delivered by our CEDAL educators in partnership with the accredited Adelaide College of Divinity (RTO code:4863).

Course duration and delivery
This course takes a minimum of one year when studying full-time or two years if studying part-time.
Students have the flexibility to study on campus or online.
