An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resource Officer to join the Secretariat team at the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of WA. This position will be based at the Uniting Church Centre in East Perth and is a permanent part time position (up to 0.6fte).
This role will be involved in the following areas (among others):
- Recruitment and selection
- Induction and onboarding
- Position description maintenance
- Health and safety coordination
- Policy and procedures development and review
- Performance review systems implementation
Reporting directly to the General Secretary (CEO), this ‘hands on’ position offers an opportunity for someone with a demonstrated human resources background.
As part of a small team, the HR Officer will need to be flexible to support members of the Church.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- 2+ years in a similar role or relevant HR qualifications
- Proven experience in providing administrative support
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
