TO BE HELD AT 228 JERSEY STREET, 5.30 TO 7 PM
The Wembley congregation has been continuing outside the church premises and one year down the track we’re celebrating Pancake Day. So we have pancakes while South America has carnivals! But the celebration is much the same, having a blow-out before going into the period of want, fasting and renewal that we call Lent.
Pancake Day, held on Shrove Tuesday, follows the same rules that sets the date for Easter, and we shall be at The Manse from 5.30 to 7.00 pm, 228 Jersey Street . Sweet and savoury pancakes will be available for degustatation together with soft drinks and hot drinks (should it be cool!).
Cakes and preserves will also be available on our stall for your further delight.
Come along and join in – contribute to the stall and get eating (and perhaps helping to make) those pancakes. And of course we’ll be pleased to see you whatever you do!
