The WA Synod in-person Ethical Ministry Workshop (EMW) is scheduled for Thursday 31 August, 9.00am – 12.00pm at Maylands/Mt Lawley Uniting Church. A Zoom EMW is scheduled for Tuesday 5 September, 5.00pm-8.00pm. RSVP to cultureofsafety@wa.uca.org.au.
The Ethical Ministry Workshop for 2023 explores Self-Care in Ministry which is Section 3.8 in the Code of Ethics and Ministry Practice; 3.7 in the Code of Ethics and Ministry Practice for Lay Preachers; and 2.2(points 4,5,6) in the Code of Conduct for Lay Leaders. The course material and reflective exercises are presented in a workbook which needs to be completed and submitted via email to cultureofsafety@wa.uca.org.au by 30 November 2023. If attending either of the workshops, the workbook needs to be completed prior to attendance.
All Uniting Church ministry agents – ordained/active retired/lay listed in the Professional Standards Policy are expected to participate.
