The Uniting Centre for Education and Formation invite you to a workshop – An Introduction to the Basis of Union – on Saturday 14 March, 9.00am to 12.30pm at Rockingham Uniting Church.
What is the Basis of Union?
The Basis of Union is the main document of the Uniting Church in Australia. It explains what we believe about God, about the Church, and about our mission in the world.
It is not a long document, but it is very important. It helps us understand:
- Why the Uniting Church was formed
- What makes the UCA who we are
- What guides our worship, leadership and mission
In this session we will:
- Learn some history
- Look at the main ideas in simple language
- Talk about what it means for us today
- Ask questions together
You do not need any special knowledge to attend. This session is open to everyone — leaders, members, and anyone who wants to understand the Uniting Church better.
