An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our Perth based Property Services team at the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of WA. This position will be based at the Uniting Church Centre in East Perth.
The Role
The Facilities Coordinator will be an important member of the property team coordinating the management of a diverse property portfolio across Perth and regional Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary contact for assisting with the management, maintenance and repairs of the Uniting Church property assets
- Contractor Management – liaise with contractors to provide planned and corrective maintenance.
- Support and oversee programs of works including minor & major works projects.
- Assist with scope development and contract administration for renovation projects.
- Assist with the preparation of grant applications, tender documentation and specialised programs.
- Preparation of correspondence, lease documentation and reports.
- Provide support with property inspections, condition assessments and attend sites as required.
- Maintain property systems & databases, including the rationalisation of archived documentation.
- Apply your knowledge of industry best practice, building codes, legislative requirements relating to facilities and asset management.
- Monitor and maintain vacant Uniting Church buildings.

- Thrives in a busy, team orientated environment
- Confident, well spoken with great interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, organised and efficient with attention to detail
- Proven experience in facilities management
- Strong computer and systems skills using Office 365.
- A sound demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment applying to residential and small commercial properties
- Experience in dealing with Heritage buildings would be desirable
