National Church Life Survey (NCLS) – Invitation to Participate

The NCLS Church Life Survey helps church councils to hear the voice of their congregations through a 20 minute survey in September/October. Thrive Mission Committee is funding the majority of costs, and has made sign up process as simple as possible.

The National Church Life Survey is a brilliant opportunity for church councils to hear the voice of their congregations. Attendees take just 20 minutes to fill out the survey after worship on a chosen day in September or October. NCLS Australia then provide a comprehensive report to the church council, and a denominational report to the Presbytery .

We need our congregations and faith communities to participate! Therefore the Thrive Mission Committee has decided pay for the costs of the Church Life Survey for congregations and faith communities up front. All we ask is that congregations contribute $200 each towards the overall costs. If this is not possible, your contribution can be reduced or waived.

To make it at easy as possible, congregations need only email the Presbytery Minister Mission with the following:

• How many paper adult surveys and paper child (8-14 yrs) surveys you need in preparation for September/October
• How many digital adult surveys and digital child (8-14 yrs) surveys you expect you might use (participants who choose to use an electronic device to complete the form)
• Whether your congregation can contribute $200, or requires a discount

Q: What if our congregation already signed up for the Church Life Survey through the NCLS website?
A: No problems! We already have your registration – just let us know if you’re happy to make the $200 contribution

A: The Presbytery will invoice you at a later date

Q: I heard the surveys are $2 each – do we have to pay for this also?
A: No, Thrive is covering the cost of all survey forms, so just order what you need!
